As promised, here are most of the photos taken last night of the Cabalgata, parade of Paso Fino Horses.
I was joined by Roger, his girlfriend Sandra, her daughter Angelica, and our fishing prodigy Camila. We went to my favorite spot for the previous 2 Cabalgatas in Tulua but soon knew something was amiss when there were no barricades set up anywhere. We asked around and drove around the city, through downtown, and originally missed the gathering by a few blocks.
I had wanted vet John Faber Rojas to join us, but he couldn't because he was celebrating his Anniversary with his wife. But he did quickly find out an approximate location of the parade and we headed there to find a nice corner where the participants tended to gather. They always move in bunches, block to block, and socialize and drink. The Nikon performed reasonably well because I had done my best to clean everything beforehand.
We didn't stay as long as normal because of the kids, and I took way less photos than normal. Oh well.... We headed off to Power Pizza where we gorged on meat-lover's medium pizzas and had lots left over to take home.
I stayed up until past 12:30am processing the photos below and then necessarily slept in this morning.
Lots of good Junior Hockey to watch today...
