I had to rush chores to make it in time for lunch downstairs where we had a nice tilapia fish dinner.  Then I quickly did a small load of laundry to prepare for the weekend.

I was told by fellow scooter rider Bob, who parks next to me, that Ken, who sits next to me at lunch, might be interested in buying the Golden, which does not really belong to me.  He has made an offer and I am waiting to hear from the family if they are interested in selling it.  If Ken does buy it, he would want the batteries replaced, which is not cheap.. and I think he wants them installed first....

I had to run to the bank to deposit the refund I received from the Manoir, so I moved some money around while I was there.  Then I stopped at Dollarama to get a flower to put outside my window to attract the hummingbirds, and velcro to hopefully bold it in place.  It does get windy in downtown Edmonton!

The interest in the Golden got me thinking a lot more about Bob's "Cadillac" next to mine, a Gio Element with windshield, roof, bigger tires, more batteries, bigger range, and locking storage... etc, etc.  We got talking and he gave me the card from the place where he bought his, and I intend to go look at them tomorrow.  Apparently they have 3 different colours available.  At least this unit will give me the option to have transportation on most winter days...  I believe that enclosure is possible...  We will see if they are willing to deal tomorrow....

This is a much cheaper option overall than looking at buying an old car with registration, insurance, fuel and maintenance problems.  Decisions, decisions.... because it will put me in the poorhouse...

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

Yesterday I watched the last episodes of Season 6 of Outlander.  Gosh, I love that series!  Then I started on the book State Of Terror by cousin Hilary Clinton and it is hilarious how she has snuck supposed fiction about a previous President that could only be the Orange Menace.  I am enjoying the book immensely.  This was while watching Vegas Golden Knights manage to humiliate Dallas, in Dallas, and advace to the Stanley Cup Finals.  Go Vegas!

I was to go do a portrait shoot for a friend today, but circumstances got in their way today, so it will need to be delayed to another date.

Our Canadian tennis hopeful, Bianca Andreescu won a hard match in Paris at the French Open today, as did Dennis Shapavolov.

After late chores and lunch, I cleaned up and went on a bit of a photo trip on the Golden, just because I tend to be a hermit and stay in my room for days on end, wasting the beautiful sunshine.  Being bored and going stir crazy just begged me to go on a sanity trip. I went by the Legislature, which is always picturesque, the High Level Bridge, and followed part of the route of the High Level Bridge Streetcar, which ends 2 blocks from home.

I was near coming off the High Level Bridge and I was hearing a loud "hoo hoo" so I turned, thinking maybe it was an owl??..  It turned out to be a very loud mourning dove that I could somehow hear over the busy traffic.

I offered the Conn Iggulden book set to family first, but they have no time to read that much, so I took them down to Don, the other photographer in the building.  He was very appreciative, having just finished a series of books on Alexander The Great.

I had 3 cobs of corn from WalMart in the freezer and that is what I nuked for supper.  Not big cobs, but they were surprisingly fresh and tasty.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
