Yesterday was mostly intermitten rain which was wonderfully cooling and refreshing.  We barely needed the fans at all.
There were some MMA matches scheduled so I checked our guide, expecting to watch for a few hours, and was shocked that there was nothing on TV..  However I did spot that Bohemian Rhapsody was on a good channel, in English, so I enjoyed that a lot.  Rami Malek certainly deserved the Best Actor Oscar.  Other than that, it was naps and binge watching Narcos Mexico.
We have noted that Princesa's left eye is clouding over which could be from several causes.  We have to take her to the vet soon.  She is such a sweetheart, I don't want her being sick.

This morning I just went back to bed for 3 hours after walking the dogs.  I then did my chores, had a very nice lunch prepared by my lovely wife and went for another nap...  Do you see a recurring pattern here???
I took just a few dazzling shots of Tom Thumb (bragging) and just started processing those when a strong, thankfully short, rainstorm pounded on us.  Puddles formed rapidly and everything was soaked good.  To my knowledge we only had one small leak from the lavanderia eavestrough.  Nothing serious, it is just water.
Since I rearranged the living room I am having a lot less trouble with the Smart TV and catching NetFlix.  Not perfect, but more reliable.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

Look at the detail on those tiny feathers..  Amazing!

He wasn't giving me much, staying only a few seconds.

We still have beautiful sunflowers

We could use some perrenial versions.  Is there such a thing?

A white rosebud

Doves, relaxing the social distancing

They are always around our feeding station

Tom makes another short appearance.  Please click to enlarge.

Princesa, my Princess, has a left eye that needs attention

Rain pounding the mango tree

I find rain fascinating

Beautiful drips catch the light and colour

Mangoes and oranges getting a good wash

The front street gets a good cleaning too

Happy Birthday Mom in heaven.  104 years old today.  Miss you!

Last night we had a long rainstorm for about 4 hours.  That was guaranteed to wash away the dust and green up everything.

This morning I was hoping the exchange rate was a bit better but I transferred some money here from Canada anyway.  I always feel the need to expect the best and plan for the worst.
I did take a few photos for you and caught the buzzards eyeing me.  I would be scared to nap on the grass out back.
We made a trip into Tulua this morning, stopping first at the vet John Faber Rojas to pay him some money owed for working on the strays.  He has been so good to us.  Next we dropped in at Miguel and Adiela's to drop off some Mother's day present to Ana Julia.  They have a houseful of dogs as well.
Then it was a jaunt across town to get tea at Canaveral.  We also got a lot more crushed corn for the birds.
I had expected to probably have lunch at La Herradura or thereabouts but then Cristina mentioned that I had leftovers of my favourite fried hamburger and potatoes, and that settled that!
As we left Andalucia, and also on our return, the road was all muddied up by the sugar cane truck trains that come out of the muddy fields after loading up a cut.  They then stop traffic as they try to scoop up the mess.  It is a real nuisance but that is the area we live in.
I finished the Narcos mini-series and it started to load Narcos Mexico, so I let it.  Soon I will be an expert on latin Amiercan drug lords.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

Killer moves about the yard at will now

Tom Thumb keeps an eye on him

Our plantains are getting quite tall.  Fruit soon??

Saffron Finches like our food

The sunflowers are almost done their run...

And so are the roses
Tom Thumb visited a lot today with a rival

Sunshine on a mango

Buzzards circling above, eyeing me

Round and round they soar

They are pretty from far away

Love that wingspan

Sorry guys

I'm not ready for you yet

A painting at the vet's

Dirty streets to be cleaned

Finishing a sugar cane field cleanup

The cane fields are all over here

My favourite, fried hambuger and potatoes
