After I had had a lovely breakfast and discussions with friends Leona & Greg, I walked back towards Parque De La Madre. I had noticed that numerous tents were being erected along the Tomebamba and that several had some stock, so by the time I returned many booths were up and ready for business.
There seemed to be way more tents this year, on both sides of the river, and I think that I only saw a small fraction of the eventual displays.
Cuenca's Independence Day on November 3rd is cause for multiple celebrations around the city and it always seems to coincide with the best weather of the year. It is definitely the best time to visit here....
I found a lovely black Ecuadorian shirt, and a nifty incense burner and incense that I could not resist.
Hope you enjoy the photos. That was the day's excitement, Cheers, Al
