Last night I finished the 3 seasons available of Queen Of The South on NetFlix.  It has left us hanging before she is officially worthy of the title.  It is a good series but marred with too many flashbacks, dreams, voodoo and supernatural crapola.  I don't know what I will watch next.. maybe Vikings?

OMG, where the heck did June disappear?  People don't respect the severity of the Covid-19 outbreak and now the second wave is beginning and even Bill Gates says we underestimated the damage it will do.  There are precautions in place that people are not respecting and these idiots will spread this far and wide so lockdowns will begin again causing untold havoc for businesses, big and small.  The only good thing that will happen is that it will topple that friggin' dummy in the White House.
After walking the dogs I went right back to bed and thn forced myself to get up at 9am to do my chores.
I got an email from Cheap-O-Air so I took their advice and actually called their Customer Service line.  I was surprised at the short wait and had some trouble understanding the heavy East Indian accents of the fellows in the Call Center.  But I did get to explain my situation about trying to change my return flight and not being able to reach Cheap-O-Air during the heart of the outbreak.  So now, 3.5 months later, I might get a decision on the refund for the return flight that I was forced to cancel.  They promised a call-back within 48 hours....
I slipped out today only to get some money for our pockets.
Sadly the peach rose has withered and died.  Very unusual since it did not fully open yet.  But the multi-coloured mini-rose is doing just fine and there are many other buds waiting to burst open.
It is our "winter" season and it was only 30C today and they are now predicting a thundershower around 7pm.  We hope they are right.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

This gorgeous rose will soon have a lot of company

Killer is really a misnomer.  He is a big softie.

Tom Thumb cruising in.

My little fighter Nene is so cuddly.

My fat girl Nina is never far away.

She has cuddled up to me on the bed since she was a puppy.

The beautiful Grigi is always looking for affection.

Lots of buzzards north of us

There must be something worth watching.

Tom Thumb and friends love our feeders,

Thank you Tom for posing so nicely.

He just shines in the sunlight...

Tom brakes for food...

Happy 24th Anniversary Jill and Ash.

I got up around 3am to go pee and could barely walk with leg pain.  I forced myself to do stretching exercises and got the pain to abate.  At 4:50am I still got up and managed to walk with 5 dogs without much problem.  The legs have been fine ever since, but the arms are still a big issue.
Claudia and daughter Sara came at 9am to minister to Killer in Cristina's absence.  They said that they would return at 1pm but they didn't.
The day started blustery but turned very sunny and hot.  I went out and trimmed the plants and the mango tree.  I hated having to duck every time I went near the mango tree and it obstructed too much view of the yard.  This is much better.
I took a few shots with the Nikon as per usual and researched again to make a correction.  The brown pigeons that we commonly call Turtledoves are really called a Ruddy Ground Dove (not as attractive a name, and very similar).  I found out the Turtledoves a so called because of the tur-tur sound they make.
My friend David is a marvel, haing survived so many different medical issues and he is excellent at researching things.  He even discussed my pain issues with his doctor and now they are suggesting that I get back on Gabapent for a while.  I still have some, and David has some to give me, so why not.  This is in addition to the miracle drug (still waiting for the miracle) and some other oral pain med.  Right now I would try almost anything.
I will pick up Cristina later in Tulua when she returns from her trip to the mountains.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
