Yesterday I went back to bed with my stuffy nose, then we went into Tulua LA14 for needed groceries.  We had invited Aram and family to join us but they did not see the message in time.  In hindsight it was just as well.  Liliana's broken foot, which she reinjured, really means that she needs a wheelchair.  My poor little KIA would struggle with 5 people and groceries, and then there certainly would be no room for a wheelchair.

Today Cristina had me pick up one brown puppy with blue eyes that was to be adopted, and a Mama and 2 black puppies that needed vaccinations, etc to speed adoption.  Adiela met us at Dr John's with the 3rd black pup.  The Mama is a lovely multi-colored brown, very small, with unfortunately coarse hair and a great disposition.
It took over an hour to be seen as John was very busy.  Saturday he seems to have a lot of student help but it doesn't really speed up anything.
In the meantime I slipped out to Movistar alone because my cel phone had "lost the network" again... second time this week.  I managed to get seen relatively quickly by the same guy that "repaired" it last time...
Then the adopter did not qualify so we brought all the puppies back home to the park but Cristina said the tiny girl was sick so we are keeping here at our house...  So we have 11 dogs in the house...
We had a quick lunch at the new restaurant on the main road again so Cristine could try it.  One almuerzo fed us both and she was very impressed.
Then in the afternoon Cristina asked if I had paid the Internet/TV bill because our TV was cut off.  I said no, because we should be getting a bill allowing us until sometime in June to pay...  I was really cranked, because the bills are so darn inconsistent in their timing.  The last bill gave me until May 7th to pay (I paid Apr 26).  So I expected the next bill to give me until around June 7 to pay.  Unfortunately that makes too much sense for Colombia.  So I gathered all my paid bills and we roared back in to Tulua to fence again with this blasted Movistar.  I used their machine to get a priority ticket for old people and it says we should be seen in 0-5 minutes.  45 minutes later I am ready to make a huge scene and they finally show us to a nice young lady.  I let Cristina explain the problem with the inconsistency, especially since they were now trying to send the bill to her phone...  So we had them change it so that the bills go to my email so I can print and save the face page at least.  Apparently I should now get the bills somewhere around the 24th of each month and be able to keep track better.  Honestly I am so fed up with Movistar, but everyone claims that the competition is worse, so we live with the lousy service.
Then I tried to process the following photos and my new Seagate Slim began crapping on me again, losing a month's worth of photos, again....  Grrrrrrrr   I don't have the time to waste with all this balky equipment.  None of my new USB ports want to work, my card reader won't work, and the list goes on.
The mice seem to like our computer area a little too much so the strategic poisonings started last night and will continue until I see no more traces of the rascals.  Then I will break down and get a new computer....  Drat!  I was hoping that changing to the SSD hard drive last year with my upgrades that I would be set for a few years.  But the upgrades are all failing so I guess we must get something new and ridiculously fast.  I really don't want to spend that money but, witout the computer to work on my photos, I may as well roll over and die.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

Happy 103rd Birthday Mom.  Miss you lots.
I switched beds again at 2:30am, the cold in my nose was driving me crazy.   I had talked to David last night because he was having breathing problems and needed to pick up his girlfriend Irma at the Cali Airport early this morning.  I told him that if he needed a co-pilot to just call..
So he called at 6:30am, which I thought was strange because Irma's plane was supposed to arrive at 7am.  But, her plane was delayed 2 hours making her trip about 30 hours total.  Not fun...  Anyway, David was feeling shaky so I drove in and we took his lovely Kia Cerato Pro automatic.  I did all the driving.
The traffic was light and we made good time, both ways.
I did not know that Irma was coming in via Bogota, which makes it a domestic flight, so of course I parked in the wrong place initially.  Anyway we found her easily and I brought the car around to pick them up.  Because I was so groggy myself, and was concentrating on the driving, I took no photos of Irma...  Silly me.
I came home, caught up on my chores, ate lunch and crashed.
Then I sat outside in the sun with the camera for a while to expectorate at will and to get some sun on my chest.  I feel better already.
I am pretty certain that I got photos of the Tyrian Metaltail (spreads orange tail feathers and had a dark patch behing the eyes) and the Rufous-Tailed Hummingbird (smaller and tends to keep the tail feathers tucked in).
We still have Toby at the house and he is getting into the routine with us and the other dogs.....  So cute and cuddly.  I love puppies.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

This Tom looks like the Tyrian Metaltail

I am pretty sure the rest are the Rufous-tailed one

They sure do seem to prefer the red feeders
