It rained lightly but steadily from 2am to past 5am when I got up after a poor sleep, so there was no walk this morning.
I did my chores and showered, packed up my fishing supplies to pick up Roger and Johan for fishing at Rancho Panorama in Tulua again. It was blustery, but the sun eventually burnt away the mist.
Little Johan beat the crap out of us 2 old guys, catching cachama fish consistently. I took a moment to teach him how to cast with the open reel and then there was no stopping him once the fish started biting. We each caught a lot, and lost a lot of chicken heart bait to the smart nibblers.
The fish were jumping and eager to be caught, so we did our best. We brought home 2 cachama for Johan and 6 for me. Roger didn't want to be bothered. Still only 40c USD to get in and less than $2 USD per fish scaled and cleaned...
I had brought the Nikon this time and got some decent shots of some of the many birds there, missing a lot of the smaller ones who were shy. I was pleased to be able to get nice photos of Ibis and Herons (and Snowy egrets are part of the heron family).
Carlos from Servinet was supposed to come this afternoon but apparently expected me to call him when I got home (I was home by noon) so he did not come, and now it is raining at his hometown, Zarzal.
Cristina just left for the cemetery with little fake candles to celebrate the Day Of The Little candles. Read about it here : https://www.colture.co/bogota/culture-bogota/lifestyle-customs-traditions/day-of-the-little-candles/
Have a great evening everyone....
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
