Yes, more rushing.  I invited Cristina to come along and watch the races at David's today and she surprisingly accepted.  I should have know that we would have to add 3 stops for her again before getting there.  We went by the one vet place first only to find it closed.  So we waited until one of the staff came by and said they would be open only noon to 1, 1 hour only, so Cristina apparently made arrangements for them to visit the Pitbull named Zeus.  Then we went to see how Zeus was doing.  While there this girl walks up to talk to them and I thought her hair was on fire and she seemed unaware...  See the photo below.  I can't see the significance of carrying incense in your hair unless you smell bad... lol.
With 1/2 hour before race time we hustled to  a department/grocery store across from the bus station on the other side of Tulua.  Cristina was buying huge livers cheap to help feed Zeus to strengthen his blood and the lineups were terrible.
So we got to David's about 15 minutes late and were welcomed by the news that his provider all-of-a-sudden made the race Pay-Per-View!  So he tried to arrange that and failed.  Wolf and David have phone apps where we could keep abreast of developments, just not see the race.  My top-3 favourites started in front and pretty much went wire-to-wire even though the polesitter had engine trouble on the last few laps and was saved by a track accident that ended the race under a yellow flag, so he salvaged third place.  We will watch a replay of the race here tomorrow.
Then we watched 3 different kinds of Motorbike racing including the MotoGP where, again, the top 3, (all my favourites again) went wire-to-wire.  I learn a bit more every time from Wolf and David, and it helps pass the time here.
I am very much into the War and Remembrance sequel to The Winds of War as I find WWII history fascinating.  When that is done I will have to get into other mini-series for enjoyment.  Suggestions??
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

Saturday March 30, 2019
The morning was a huge rush... up at 5:30, walk the dogs, then pick up the poop in the yard to have the bags ready for the garbagemen.  Hurriedly upload my photos and do my emails and shower to be ready to leave by 8:30.
We had an appointment at the cel shop in Tulua at 9 but Cristina was just dawdling, then insisted that we go get some tamales across town to bring to her mother.
We pick up Miguel and are at the cel shop around 9:25 and the guy is gone...  He is called and agrees to return, thank God.  Miguel and I walk to a bakery and on the way back I spot a sign where someone is selling cel service including 500 minutes to Canada/USA.  In the next block I see a Movistar office so I enquire there about this.  Yes, I can change to that kind of plan, same price, no problem, starting April 27th.  That may solve 1/2 of my problem.  At least I can phone out cheaply..
So we rush Miguel home, then Cristina to Andalucia where she needs to stop at the pharmacy before home...  We check with a drive-by the expected doggie donation event at the main park where Cristina and Claudia will go later and it seems quite busy.
Of course I have an appontment to meet the guys to watch Formula 1 qualifying, then Moto GP qualifying for Sunday's races.  Of course I am very late.
I am beginning to enjoy the intrigues of the racing world, especially under the tutelage of the very knowledgeable David and Wolf.  Those guys are encyclopedias.
I get home just dragging my butt and heading for the nearest pillow.  I drive by the central park again and it is just dead, not much happening.  I go to bed, but I can't sleep because the dogs want to play, Cristina is going to the park with Claudia with dog food donations we bought yesterday, and I wanted to see what is happening now, 4pm.  Really, nothing was happening except a very bad heavy metal band was blaring our ears off.  I have a hamburger, stop for an ice cream cone, and am on my way home when my phone rings.
Cristina wants help to transport an old fat pitbull that is sick and can't walk to the vet.  So, off I go again.  The vet says the dog has a fever and gives it a couple of shots and we bring it back again, already looking better.
Then she wanted to go to the dog park to help Marino and Claudia so I stuck around.  I walked the Mommy dog until she did her big poop then played a little with the pups.  The tan baby boy I call Gordo (fat boy), and the one-eyed baby girl I call Jacqueline (as in one-eyed Jack).  They are so very active and fearless, wanting to play fight and do tug-of-wars with everything in sight.  Then the little kittens melt your heart as well.  At least we know, and they know, that they are loved and well cared for.  Nobody is starving, that's for sure.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

Friday March 29, 2019
Yesterday was a frustrating day.  After helping Cristina color her hair using 2 packages, and really needing three, I tried my darndest to work some magic with Youtube.  After watching all of The Winds Of War miniseries from a memory stick to my non-smart TV, I tried all sorts of programs that purported to safely convert YouTube files to other formats like .avi .  I was determined to get the sequel series War And Remembrance also on the memory stick.  I wasted many hours trying to get any one of them to work without success.  Finally I gave up and watched the first 3 chapters (6 hours) on my computer.  It is a good thing that the office chair tilts and is quite comfortable.

Today I woke up before 4am and could not get back to sleep so I just got up.  It was pouring, with thunder and lightning, and that continued until about 7am.  The dogs had to forego their walk, I am sad to say but, I did get some work done.
At 7:30 we rushed to Buga to see a vet that does ultrasounds on animals (not x-rays as I previously reported).  Cafe was a model patient and the good news is that there seems to be nothing wrong with her.  So we tried to see the Tulua vet, Dr. John Rojas with the news but he was not working today.  I guess we just have to find something to stop that mucus discharge and our dear Cafe will be fine.
Then we stopped at the German Cafe for a delicious bite before making a quick cemetery visit.  Since trimming the little flower bushes around the edge, there are a lot of pretty blooming flowers enjoying the recent rains.
Cafe loves so much to be in the car that she is no trouble at all.  Actually all our dogs fought to get into the car when we came home.  We have a family of canine travelers.
Cristina went to the dog park with Claudia again and returned in time for a visit by her ex, Carlos, who must have been feeling guilty every day it rains so he came to fix our roof leaks.
Then Cristina said that we needed to rush into Tulua again to see some phone experts to copy information from Christian's phone for the Investigator.  Why this wasn't done 16 months ago is way beyond me...  Anyway we had to circle a 3-car accident at the town's entrance/exit.  There was barely enough room for my little car to get by.
We picked up Miguel and went to see his friend in the cel/computer business and they referred us to a different guy about 4 blocks away.  Now Cristina has to clean up the phone of extarneous stuff first and we will return in the morning.
When we came back to Andalucia, those 3 cars were still blocking the road, aided by Police and Ambulance....
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
