It was another gray morning so I took advantage of the cooler weather to work in the yard as Mr Fix-It.  I filled in holes dug by the dogs and checked the bunny hutch to find that the screen was slowly being opened and either the rabbits would escape or the dogs would enter.  I could not delay on securing the screen to the frame and the door.  We just dodged another bullet on that score.  I am amazed that Cristina did not notice.
Then the gravel pile by the back step had been spread around so much by the aforementioned dogs that I put on the back brace and shoveled the pile back into place.  There were so many mosquitoes along the back wall because of the water in the yard that I went on a killing spree with the electronic racket zapper.  It was murder in the corners.
Then Cristina and I decided to make a Dollar City visit for something to do.  We picked up a lot of kitchen items, snacks, bicycle pump, huge hummingbird feeder and lots more.  When everything is under $3 it is easy to find the bargains.
Once home I looked out back and actually saw Tom Thumb at one of the feeders which was almost empty.  So I re-filled that one and filled the new one so Tom will have lots of enticement to keep returning.  Crossing our fingers.
With all that exertion this old boy is pretty tired.
Working on the photos today worked much better so I hope that continues.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

Sunday April 28, 2019
Yesterday I did put up the 'new' bamboo screen in the master bedroom and it will serve that purpose nicely.  I took a photo with the phone to test if it will show up on the connection between my phone and my PC.  It did, so the photo is below.  Not great by any means..
I stayed up until 11:30 watching 5 hours of UFC last night and I wasn't too swift this morning.  The day started gray and just stayed that way.  At least it was relatively cool today (27C).  After walking the dogs and doing the usual chores it was definitely nap time.
I also got off my butt and cleaned the bug zapper which must have been working overtime as it was pretty clogged.
We had a visit by niece Ana and her old boyfriend German.  They came by motorbike so we could not gift her the old TV and VCR that is going to her.  We hadn't seen German since last July so everything here was new to him.  He sure liked Lizzie.
I wanted to re-park the car backwards to make more room for tonight's Formula 1 viewing with the guys so Cristina suggested that we go to BugaLaGrande for the ice and fruit 'drink' called cholado.  We tried a new place on the park but Cristina was not happy with their offering.  For $1.15 worth, I wasn't complaining.
The neighbours were burning something horrid on their back patio and all that putrid smoke just wafted into our place.  I changed all the fans to blow this crap out the back.  I could only hear kids' voices so I went next door to be sure that they knew they had lots of smoke back there.  She knew, and the smoke subsided.
So the upload of the pic from the phone worked well but is poor quality.   I took a couple of shots at BugaLaGrande just to experiment with.  The computer is still causing me untold grief uploading from the memory card.  I have to use an external card reader and then it takes forever to get the RAW files to my computer for processing.    Copying or Cutting, then Pasting is a real test of my patience.  So I will definitely be restricting my camera use until I can figure this out.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

Phone photo experiment.  Bamboo screen.

Waiting for our cholados at a new booth.

Lizzie looks so good when she is clean.

Saturday April 27, 2019  Updated
Bad news first.....  Windows 10 and my computer are causing me grief.  I cannot access my older external hard drive where I have all my photos for upload and where most of my information is saved.  I also cannot access my newer external hard drive where I save all my newer photos since I came to Colombia...  This means that I have no access to photos to use for any purpose, Blog, Facebook, for sale, etc.   I also cannot save my photos on these drives and I detest storing photos on my cameras.  It is like cutting off my right arm of course and making half of my existence here quite useless.  I may be reduced to using my phone...  Ugh.
Update:
I have a program that mirrors my phone to my PC but it only shows 25 photos, so that is useless.
I updated all my drivers and got the old EHD to be recognized again so I can access my photos to upload for sale.
So far, no such luck with the other new EHD that it wants me to "format" and lose everything...  I won't do that.  I will test it later on the laptop.

The good news is that, as of today, I have 500 minutes available to contact Canada or USA monthly on my cel phone from here.  Since I can only receive voice messages on my useless old NetTalk, it gives me an avenue to deal with banking, family, etc.   I don't think that it helps much for phoning me but the access is apparently 011-57-2-318-847-1540.

You should be able to text me cheaply and I could call you???  Or text me and we could connect with Skype if preferred..??  Otherwise, you have to watch when I am on Facebook Messenger...
Everybody uses WhatsApp in Latin America +57-318-847-1540.  Your choice.
At least there are more options available now.

I was out early to watch Formula 1 qualifying at 8am at David's from Azerbaijan.  Wolf was also there.  It lasted quite a while because of 2 heavy crashes on a tight corner by 2 fast drivers, one of which is my favourite which puts him 10th on the starting line.
Tomorrow we will watch the actual race here.
Sorry, no pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
