Monday, I had to check with the office downstairs again because they changed the date of our flu shot to October 14. I wasn't sure if my reserved (latest) time was still valid. Thankfully it is, so I don't have to be up too early.
Tuesday, I broke down and went out for groceries at Extra Foods and saved a lot of money.
I decided to try something new to cook the boneless pork chops in a mushroom soup sauce with peppercorns... simmered slow and easy. It turned out OK, if I do say so myself... lol.
Today, I got a call from my amputee friend Tracey asking for help to hang heavy pictures high on the wall behind her big TV. We had the help of her neighbour Debbie, which made things a lot easier.
Tracey had insisted on cooking supper, chicken cordon bleu burgers and a Kraft macaroni salad, followed by ice cream sandwiches. Everything was so delicious!!!!
Her dog, Thor, the mad whirlwind, was kept away from us until supper was over, then was allowed to join us to enjoy the treats and a stuffed lamb I had bought for him to play with.... I honestly could not handle such a high-strung dog for long... He is truly a sweetheart, but he is a bull in a china shop, like most bulldogs.
I took a few pictures and then changed the background on a few when I returned home, just to show off.... I hope they enjoy them.
Tracey also bought a nice surprise for my niece Dawn, that I will work to set up as a surprise... More on that later...
