REMINDER: If you are interested in getting the Blogs via email, simply send me an email to aljbourassa@gmail.com and I will add you to a special list in my Blog settings that appears to work, yippeee.  I won’t do that without your permission, and THANK YOU all for your patience and support.

I managed to make myself stay in bed until 7:30am, not really sleeping mind you, but still a modern-day record.  Even still, I needed my afternoon nap.
I finally got a haircut today so I don't look like a shaggy dog.  $2.50 is hard to take..
I managed to put enough silicon gel around the inside edge of my bike case to get it to stop jiggling when in motion.  I have the time for these little projects, just not much inclination.
Then I re-installed the in-the-corner, under-the-counter, hidden drawer that I have been meaning to do for months.
I then went to a realty office in the next block to see if they would be interested in selling my house because they get a lot of foot traffic from the hospital there, but they wanted $60 a month to list it, so I declined.  They know where my house is, so I just told them they would get their 3% if they brought a buyer..
I am also trying unsuccessfully to contact the architect who built and sold me the house.  There are a couple of things that need replacing or fixing and he knows the people and places to contact.
Nice almost full moon tonight.  I think I read that  it is to be a blood moon tomorrow, plus an eclipse viewable in Saskatoon....
I hope you enjoy the picture.  That was the day’s excitement.

Just had another basically sleepless night, 3 in a row, but I stayed in bed until I felt at least rested...
After 9am I wandered over to my bank for some much-needed cash and asked about my extended Debit card that was supposed to have been ready last Friday.  You guessed it,... "Come back Wednesday, afternoon..".
Then I rode Buzzer up to the bkike mechanic Geovanny but was met with closed doors.  Not to worry, I called my other mechanic Juan Diego who informed me that he now has a shop in the Industrial Park and he would send me the "Ubicacion" location on Whatsapp which is usually an interactive map to get there.  Instead I got a corner address at Miguel Narvaez y Carlos Tosi, and to look for Daytona bike signs.  So I headed for the Industrial Park on the only real route I know, and stopped at the second major intersection to check on Google Maps.  It only let me put in the first street name and, by just dumb luck, that was the street on my right (no signs of course).  I went to the next corner, saw Daytona signs, and pulled in.  I asked a young man for Juan Diego and he said to go around the corner to the back.
Diego informed me that this was his own shop and it is obvious that they do pre-inspections on new Daytonas because there were new bikes everywhere.
I needed a few minor adjustments and decided I may as well get the oil changed as well.  Diego apologized that he only had the best $8 synthetic oil in stock and I thanked him because I only want the best $8 oil for Buzzer, lol.  He even tightened up my brakes and lubed some cables for me.  These are the kind of mechanics I love, those who love, and take pride in, their work.
I came home and washed Buzzer and called back a number I had on my missed call list.  It turns out that it was a realtor who was looking for a house for his wife and himself and he had gone to school in this neighbourhood.  So they came by and had a look.
I am getting regular calls on the house from many Ecuadorians, and I purposely only give them the $150k furnished, $140k unfurnished price to start with, and state that it is negotiable.  That gets rid of the nosy ones with no money.  I will negotiate with serious buyers only, and the price depends on several factors, realtor or no realtor, money in USA or Canada, paint needed or not, and evading Draconian taxes in Ecuador.  One of these days everything will fall into place..
I have another mover coming tonight to have a look-see to give me an estimate.  I want to be as prepared as possible.
I am starting to impart information over to my designated replacement as photographer at Joes'.  She is Sri Lankan, cute as a button, who will charm the patrons with her dazzling smile.  She is also a Doctor who lives 2 doors from Joes', so that is super handy.
Joes' is not open this Saturday because of the referendum on Sunday and no-drinking laws for 24 hours before, and after.  So I will be having guests on both Feb 11 and 14 to thank them for all their kindnesses.
Time for a nap...
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

Sunday January 28, 2018
I tried an experiment in the settings for the Blog putting email addresses in a special section, and it seems to have worked….  So, if you are interested in getting the Blogs via email, simply send me an email to aljbourassa@gmail.com and I will add you to that list.  I won’t do that without your permission, and THANK YOU all for your patience and support.

The Herederos organized a ride to San Fernando and Lago de Busa so I went along as I needed the fresh air and it was a gorgeous day.
We had a lovely lunch or ribs, sausage, and potatoes and more before heading back.
There was a fellow operating a very fancy drone there who was from Austria and who has lived in Cuence for 16 years but our paths had never crossed.

As far as we know, the Touring Canucks have finally made it home safely.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
