Thursday December 16, 2021

Yesterday was so darn stressful, with no naps, that I collapsed in bed last night at my usual hour and was out in minutes.  Killer made me get up later around 2am but I zonked right out again.  Princesa woke me at 4am so that they would get their walk.  It was guilt that made me go, but but then I collapsed again into bed until 8am.

I had suspicions that my bedroom clock radio temperature gauge was not very accurate, so I put my trusty office clock/temp thingy next to it and left it while we went out.  You can see below that my suspicions were spot on....

I decided that I may as well try to get as much done today as possible, so we got ready to go, and firstly stopped to pay the internet/cable/phone bill and get some needed cash.

Then Cristina made me go to Ara department store to get a big grocery Christmas package for the poor family that run Zoonosis, the Tulua animal refuge.  We delivered the 3 big bags of staple foods and had a quick tour of the facility which has changed a lot.  They now have a big enclosure for the large dogs that don't like the cats or smaller animals.  There are really way too many large animals that need adoptive homes...

We had put the Hyundai TV in the car prior to leaving because the repair place was our next stop.  I had to forgot the remote didn't I??  I really have to do things immediately, when I think of them and not rely on this failing memory...  Anyway, he could see the problem just by starting it up and figures it is one of 2 things, one of which may be a costly new screen...  He estimated 3 days for a diagnosis.

I saw that he had some camera battery chargers in a display case so I asked about my Panasonic where the zoom quit working.  He said that they have a person in the afternoon that could look at it...

Then we went and got more ant/bug poison to put at the base of the other plants and bushes.  Then I tried to find some saddle soap which restores old leather to like-new condition.  My old 70+ year-old baseball glove is testament to that.  I found something, but not the actual saddle soap.  My old moccasins need renewal so we will see if this will do the trick or not.

Then I dropped off Cristina at Adiela's to spend the afternoon.  I headed back, gassed up, and went to a new vegetable place bordering our central park.  I hope the veggies that I picked up will go the distance....  Then I got some fried chicken for lunch for me and the dogs.

I contacted KIA and made a warranty check appointment for first thing Tuesday morning and asked them to rush it through.  I hate being stranded in Tulua without a vehicle for hours....

Then I cut up my cabbage and my arms really took offense to the abuse of the day.  I was about to take a rest then Cristina called to be picked up because both Adiela and Miguel are having abdominal pains....

So I grabbed the remote for the TV, picked her up, and we went back to the TV repairman.  We wanted leave my Panasonic camera but I guess that techie was not there this afternoon as promised, and it didn't sound like he/she would be back anytime soon...   Drat!

So again I have had another thoroughly exhausting day,.. and no nap....  I think I will hit the hay early tonight.  Watching Netflix on the computer is not fun or relaxing.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
