We remember...

It was sprinkling again this morning so the walk was cut short but 2 of the 3 did their business quickly...

I contacted Igor about doing a little scenery tour and we decided on meeting up in the early afternoon.

My watch was losing 10 minutes a day and I rely on it to be on time, everytime,.. so I took it in for a new battery...  $1.29 USD installed....

Cristina had defrosted the Tilapia fish that Miguel had donated back to us, so I had to make good on my boast that I knew a good way to cook it...  I hate to think that it was mid-70's in Calgary when the Rotunda Restaurant on 11th Ave would have Filet Of Sole, done in butter, white wine and lemon... and our patronage for a great meal.  I had bought the ingredients and slow-cooked the Tilapia to perfection.  I had better be careful not to show too many of my cooking skills or I'll soon be head Chef here.

Poor Turi, who had been spayed in an unorthodox way, still gets in heat but can't have babies.  Our little guys, Dary and NeNe, are after the poor girl constantly  Nene has been fixed, but not Dary.  They are both so short they have to try to catch her when she is napping.

We went to clean dishes after the early lunch and get ready to shower but NO WATER, again!  So the emergency tank was our saviour once more for our showers.  The water returned later in the afternoon while we were out.

As we were about to head out to get Igor we noticed Nina 1 scratching away and covered in welts!  Once we determined that no other dogs had this problem, and ascertained that it wasn't bee or wasp stings, we checked carefully to see if her breathing was being affected in any way..  Apparently not, so we went to Tulua, picked up Igor and returned to get Nina to the vet when they opened.  She was having an allergic reaction, probably to the fish..!  So a shot of antihistamine was administered, and she is improving.

Igor, Cristina and I went to Campo Alegre to photograph some nature sights and saw repairmen working on the church there, wearing safety harnesses!!  That is such a rarity in Latin America!!

We returned to the main park in Andalucia for cool drinks in the shade at Flor's Cholado booth.  Igor says he would spend every afternoon there if he lived here.

Then we headed back to Tulua, hung a left past Berthold's place to catch the scenery on the way to La Marina.  I think you will like these photos.  It was a gorgeous afternoon with very dramatic clouds, and even some cowboys!

We dropped off Igor to pick up his repaired rented motorcycle and he has given it a test run and, so far, so good.  He will give it a better test tomorrow.

Driving by Power Pizza is like waving a red cape in front of a bull, I have to charge in once in a while.  Double pepperoni, bacon and ham, dressed with chilis and oregano and parmesan.....  MMMMmmmmmmm Goooood!!  And we had enough left over for lunch tomorrow!

Then we had a neighbour kitten visit our table complaining she was hungry.  She would have greedily helped herself to everything but did get some leftovers.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
