This morning, we saw the growing filly in Charlie's pasture, then we were very surprised later to see a group of 4 horses loose on our route. Usually it is 2, if any, but this group contained an amourous stallion, a reluctant mare, and another mare with the most precious little filly you could imagine. The first 3 photos below are with my crappy phone, so forgive me for the poor quality.
After chores I crashed for a whole 3 hours, very unusual for me.
Then Cristina had me cook the leftover smoked bacon and eggs for myself and I cooked until they were crispy and 10 times better than yesterday... That is the secret,... crispy... I just may buy that bacon again...
Alex investigated here about getting re-vaccinated and he came back with the same sob story. The Government here has no way to register a second vaccination and cautions that it would be a risk to my body...
So I had a weird thought and contacted Victor in Cuenca to see if they have the required vaccines, and if it would be safe. There is a one shot vaccine available from Johnson and Johnson so that would be my preference naturally. A quick visit to see the gang in Cuenca would be infinitely better than going to Miami as many Ecuadorians apparently do. You know my thoughts about travelling to Miami.... I am awaiting a response from Victor.
Alex had mentioned contacting the Embassy in Bogota so I did that and actually got a quick response,.. negative, of course, but a quick response. They have zero pull over my embarrassing Prime Minister cousin and the other idiot politicians in Ottawa. I do believe that Justin is the son of Fidel Castro and the trollop Margaret Sinclair, so we are actually probably not related, thank God.
So, so far, unless the Canadian government decides to accept the Sinovac vaccine it appears that I am hooped unless I want to go through needless quarantine procedures. Let's hope that public pressure from the WHO will bear some fruit. It is about my only hope.
I just seem to have so many balls in the air at the moment with car insurance, life insurance (which Cristina says that she managed to cancel by phone), application for citizenship, and potential travel to Canada.
We went out for groceries and more birdseed at Andaluz Market. They didn't have cabbage so we had to make a trip to a MegaFruver. That meant I had to chop up the 2 small red cabbage and the 1 medium green cabbage. To save time I dug out my trusty sharp slicer and things were going well as I attempted to be extra careful of all the sharp blades, but not careful enough in my old age.. I sliced open my thumb and had to deal with it myself because Cristina was busy at the door with that realtor I don't like. Staunching the blood enough to get a bandaid on was a real struggle, but it is holding....
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
