Negro was such a good dog overnight again, never a sound, no mess, and no trouble.  He likes when we show him kindness with a little rub and a chat.  He is happy to be alone, fed, and under cover.

Liliana and Aram understand our problems with their big unruly puppy Luka battering our smaller dogs and sent us a note this morning kindly letting us off the hook.  We responded in kind but still reminded them that we would not leave them in the lurch if they absolutely cannot locate another option.  I did not sleep well last night and had got a splitting headache stressing out over it.

We went into Tulua specifically to get purgative drugs for our dogs for parasites of all kinds.  While there, we asked about dry dog foods at various places but they were all pretty expensive compared to Huellas.  Caring for the dogs' welfare is a big part of our life as they are a huge part of it.  Our dogs are our spoiled children who bring us so much joy.

We popped into Olympica after a traffic jam outside caused by a street demonstration march.  Luckily they moved on.  We were looking for mashed corn for birdseed, and livers, etc for the dogs.  They had neither.  So we picked up a couple of needed items and went across the road to a chicken joint where I had fried chicken breasts and Cristina got the roasted variety for lunch.  The total was like $3 USD, and we brought half of it home...

We had passed Mr. Chuleta on the way in, with the intention of going there for lunch, but that would have been about $7 USD and a 20-minute wait.

It really is nice to hear and see traffic on the highway again although there are apparently still assholes blocking roads south near Buga.  Hopefully our stores will get re-stocked normally soon.  I am awaiting another package from the USA that just cleared customs here.  It will be interesting to see how long it takes to get here.  They are USB-powered mosquito killers that are promoted as the cat's meow...  I would be really interested to see if they attract flies as well to get them away from Killer.  I have ordered 3 of the fancy models so we will be testing them out soon.

Negro had his chemo treatment this afternoon and is resting comfortably in our living room.  The chemo can make them dizzy, and sometimes nauseous, so we will keep him another night.

My Motorola phone and the Movistar SIM card do not get along....  Grrrr.  I continuously get a reading that I have Wi-Fi but no Internet, and Emergency calls only...  Grrr  So I took my electronic cleaning spray and gave the ports a good spraying, losing the SIM card in the process.  I was sure that one of the dogs had picked it up off the floor and, after hunting and sweeping for 15 minutes, we found it in Buddy's bed...   At the moment the phone is working normally (crossing our fingers again).

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
