Wednesday November 30, 2022

Dark sky again this morning as we walked by the mare and filly and Whitey.  The loud house dogs were awake again this morning.  Short of trying different routes (which are limited) there is not much we can do to avoid them.

Cristina put together a 6 month package of necessities for niece Lina (apparently because Adiela is too busy to do this for her own daughter).  I pitched in to help because everything going into Lina's facility has to be in transparent containers to combat the entry of drugs.  They force us to use ServiEntrega, the main delivery service here that works exceedigly well.  The large bag of stuff was 8.75 kgs and it cost 35,000 pesos ($7.25 USD) to send.  Not bad...

We went into Tulua quickly before noon to pay my health insurance and drove by the 4-72 Post Office here, which I thought was closed in our face again, but Cristina got out to double-check.  They were open!  So we were actually able to turn in all the Movistar modems and remotes and get a receipt!!!!  Yippee!!!  What a relief that is!!!

Now, if we can stop Movistar from robocalling us 6 times each per day, they might keep us as cell phone customers, but that isn't too likely.

We had to turn in a copy of the receipt to the Movistar office which Cristina managed exceedingly quickly as well.

So we had a quick lunch at Bizcochito before heading back.

I refilled the feeders for Tom Thumb and he returned almost immediately.  Cristina went out and got crushed corn to feed the other birds.

So I watched bits and pieces of World Cup games.  Some of these races may go down to the wire to see which teams end up in the final 16.  There have been some shocking upsets.  Even the favourite defending champions from France lost today to Tunisia!

My "always free" AVG Antivirus, which I have used successfully for 24 years is now saying my free program is only good for another 10 days..  I hate these sites that start as "always free" then try to get everyone to pay expensive prices to keep them....  No way that I succumb to that kind of extortion.

I have been in contact with CIBC throughout the day about the loss of connection with internet banking.  First they wanted me to try a different browser than Firefox which I have used for 24 years as well successfully... and that did not help.  Today they suggested shutting the computer and modem for 10 minutes and re-starting.  That did not help either.  Then they suggest that there is a problem with my new provider, and suggest changing provider (after I just got a new provider, and fiber optic speed...) so I told them that is not happening....  The supervisor in Toronto is escalating my case further upstairs so I hope they find a solution soon.  I will need to move some money before very long.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  It took 3 times to get these few pictures to upload, and they came up backwards...  No biggee, but Grrrrrrrrr

 That was the day’s excitement.
