It was under a dark sky that we encountered many of the barking house dogs this morning.
I got up and showered, which was a good thing because the water was off from 8 until 4:30... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I had intended to make a last trip to Movistar today but received notice that Amazon was supposed to deliver their package today, so I waited. When the doorbell(s) rang I was surprised to receive 2 packages... and further surprised when I saw that they were from China...
I had only ordered one, but they sent two... It didn't matter because I could not get the thing to work properly from the door to my chair at the computer.
Then the doorbells went off again and it was indeed the package from Amazon. These are supposedly supposed to be wi-fi extenders that us the house wiring as antennae to enhance the signal. I picked this particular set because they did not have the same configurations or restrictions mentioned on others... Guess what??? The instructions give the same configurations and restrictions as the others... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I wanted to use these on the 2 TV's farthest away from the router modem but now can only use these on one TV and they should be on the same electrical circuit.... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I guess I have to flip breakers to see what is on each circuit...
Cristina went to Adiela's for the afternoon/evening.
Carlos from ServiNet came by to check them out and we got no further, even when I moved both the extenders within 15 feet of each other. He says that he will come back Thursday with a tester and knows a techie that might figure things out.... I donated both doorbells to him because somebody in Tulua robbed his motorbike of the tach and speedometer, poor guy, and he is hurting for money. His Mom is doing well in hospital but he needs to rent an electric bed for her.
So another day of elation and expectation has descended into disappointment.. I am so sick of this crap already, and I will no longer order anything from eBay from China any more...
