Sunday November 13, 2022

Cristina was helping Adiela with Christmas decorations last night and that made her break down in complete sadness, so she spent the night with niece Ana.  Losing her son 5 years ago this month is really hard on her and the reason we don't celebrate Christmas anymore.

As said yesterday, Carlos the IPTV guy was to come today, but hasn't as yet....

We had an extra dog this morning as little NeNe wanted to join the other 4, so we really turned the few  heads we saw, including a police motorcycle patrol.  There was some light fog at ground level.  We could see the moon in the very high thin cloud, no stars.  The usual suspects were barking at us.  5 dogs on leashes means a lot of switching hands and untangling frequently.

I had a long talk with my younger brother who has a lot of fiber optic and IPTV experience and he recommends hardwire from router to the TVboxes because of the distances and the concrete walls...  We will see if we can make the wifi operate correctly before putting unsightly wires all over....

I went out to buy lunch and discovered a new fried chicken place around the corner.  It is a family-run place and they immediately called out the 34-year-old son, named Juan, who has lived a year in Toronto so speaks reasonable English.  It is more fried chicken, bigger pieces, but almost double the price of our usual outlet.  Juan's wife, Liliana and their daughter have 2 dogs and were impressed with Turi at my side.

So with the big lake out back, the dragonflies are back and I thought that I kept seeing pairs mating all over, but it turned out they all had big black markings on the end of the 4 wings so they looked like 2 small ones flying parallel.  These are different than the last batch we had here.

Cristina called in the early afternoon from Adiela's and she was feeling much better, after throwing up all morning.  So I brought Manchas and his gear to them so they could take him to a possible adopter in San Pedro, a few miles more distant, before Buga.  Cristina just got home so apparently the lady has a concern that Manchas could get quite large, which is possible, judging from his big feet.  So I guess it is a one week trial...  I hope Manchas continues to behave inside the house and worm his way into her heart...   Good luck Manchas.

It is almost 6pm and still no Carlos to fix the IPTV....

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
