The rain was coming down at 3:30am pretty good, so we didn't walk. I got up again at 6:30 because Carlos was supposed to come, but he didn't show, or call..
So, Cristina and her nieces
actually did see some whales in the Pacific and took videos with their
phones. Nobody used the Lumix to zoom in and get good photos or
videos. But the whales were not breaching so ...... I spliced 3 videos
together for you:
Predictions are that $1 USD will soon buy 5,000 Colombian pesos,... And it will buy $1.37 Canadian today...
At 7:45 the rain began again and it stayed cloudy and cool all day, raining at 3pm again. I don't mind the cool and fresh air one bit!
I have had a visitor in the bathroom for a couple of days now, photo below... I immediately thought of the name "brown recluse spider" because there is no web.... It likes to hide behind things and I freaked when I picked up my water cup and saw it on the other side in the mirror. At least I was in the right room for what came next.... lol. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_recluse_spider This article uses the words "medically significant venom", so I won't bother it, if it leaves me alone too.
Today is another holiday, and we drove into Tulua (and I forgot to get groceries) to retrieve the white puppy from Adiela's. The puppy is a hoot, wants to play with everyone and anything, and eats everything now, and comes immediately to me when I call "Little shits"... She likes to get her cuddles from me every day.
We stopped at a roadside place across from our vet and bought a whole roast chicken with potatoes and Arepas for $5.50 USD and that is good for 2 days....
After my nap I had a craving to make Mom's Oatmeal Squares again. Gosh, it was so easy, and they are so darn delicious, I just may have to make another batch soon.
