The sky had a few stars above our heads this morning for our walk, then we napped again for a while.
I refused to leave the house in the morning between 8 and noon EDT because I was promised a callback by the supervisor at CIBC. It had been 3 days since we spoke.
I tried troubleshooting my problems with FaceBook to see if Firefox was maybe the problem. I did a few changes, upgraded Friefox and things seem to be much better. I had to disable a couple of add-ons that weren't much use to me anyway...
Then I got out my trusty jigsaw and managed to cut the 10 plastic roof panels all at once in half. It was slow going because I was afraid of breakage and splitting but it worked fine. Then I got to put up one panel, just as a visual aid of what else we might need..
There was no call from CIBC so I called again after lunch and got another supervisor to waste another 55 minutes with me. He managed to contact the supervisor Rishara (all these East Indians are saying they are in Regina,....yeah, I bet) who supposedly did have an answer for me and she would call me in 2 minutes. I called again after 2 hours and she was in a meeting (they work from home apparently??..). It is now past 6pm here and still no call............. I am NOT a happy camper.
Carlos came by at 3pm and we reviewed a couple of things and I showed him my visual aid so he determined that we will need some light metal bracing... First, we went to get the 4"x4" support posts which they will deliver in the morning at 10am and Carlos says he will be here to receive them.... The 12 posts cost me $151 USD.
Then we went to see a rental place to check out their antiquated versions of teleposts to raise the rafters back to the proper height. I personally don't think that the darn things have enough movement to get the height we need. I can see us using four of these teleposts for each 3-rafter section. Too confusing to explain....
The young lady with the baby from yesterday did contact me to get copies of the pictures. So I sent small versions like on here initially because I figure these are just going to be on her phone anyway. This afternoon I decided to play with the photo further and sent her a large version suitable for printing. I hope she likes it. Oh, and her last name is Jimenez...
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
