I was just at the door to walk the dogs this morning when it began to pour. It was too hard to walk in, not the gentle sprinkle we sometimes encounter. So we turned around and all went back to bed.
After chores I took a few photos concentrating more on manual focus to get clear shots through obstructions. I will have to do this much more often.
At 2pm Turi accompanied us as we took Princesa and Buddy to get much-needed haircuts. Wearing heavy fur coats at the equator can't be comfortable, says the man who wanders about in shorts all day. They are both basically poodle breed and their fur traps everything they walk through or lie in.
At 5:30 Turi came with us again as we picked them up and they all got an individual walk with me. It makes me happy to see them much more spry and comfortable.
I just stumbled across a big controversy with Netflix losing 9 billion dollars in one day as thousands of subscibers leave them over a purported child exploitation film called "Cuties". I watched a guy rant over an article about it, admitting that he had not even seen the film, nor did he want to. That is today's journalism, ignorant of facts, sensational and without objectivity. The film industry is over 100 years old and child actors are nothing new. Netflix's surprise response was simply "Watch the film please," so that piqued my interest. So far I have watched the trailer and it is certainly no worse than any other teen dance flick, nothing controversial. The girls are about 11-years-old and 650 were tested for the roles for a group of girls who belong to a dance troupe called the "Cuties". Personally, I think that it is the title that inflames the critics to start with. Stories about the casting process may or may not be true, but there are no lawsuits mentioned anywhere so obviously the parents were OK with it..?? Anyway, now I have to watch the film to make my own objective appraisal.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
