Formula 1 racing had a nice break before returning today with the Belgian Grand Prix. It was a good day as my nemesis, Verstappen, crashed on the first lap while my guy, Charles LeClerc, led almost from start to finish. LeClerc now has his first #1 finish in Formula 1, with many more to come. A bad pitstop costing an extra second by the Championship leader, Hamilton, was the margin of difference at the end.
Another bright spot was the more aggressive driving of Lance Stroll, the Canadian. His father owns his racing team and maybe told Lance that it was time to drive like the leaders. Whatever it was, it worked and he moved from 16th to finish 10th.
There was a late crash as well but luckily eveyone walked away. Not like an unfortunate death in a crash in Formula 2 of Anthoine Hubert yesterday. Anthoine Hubert, 22
September 1996 - 31 August 2019, was a French professional racing
driver. He was the 2018 GP3 Series champion. He died, aged 22, following
an accident in the feature race at Spa-Francorchamps, during the 2019
FIA Formula 2 Championship.
The rest of the day has been lazy, catching up on sleep.
