Under the heading of "Bad News, Good News", we heard that our fellow Canadian friend in Cuenca, Lynne Nadeau, suffered a mild heart attack.  The good news is that she is presently recovering well at the IESS Hospital, a stone's throw from my old home there.  All the best for a speedy recovery Lynne.
It was an early morning as I got up to walk the dogs at 4:50am.  I needed the time to get ready to go to David's to watch MotoGP from Spain and Formula1 from Singapore at 6am and 7am.
The MotoGP was won wire to wire by my guy Marc Marquez who had the pole position and wasn't threatened all race as he set a blistering pace and stayed out of trouble.  This was his 200th career win.
We tried to watch Formula1 but it wasn't on the channels expected by David and the earliest we could actually watch it is not until 7pm.  So we followed race results online as best we could.  My guy, Charles LeClerc, came in second to his partner Sebastian Vettel in a pre-determined strategy by the Ferrari team to give Vettel the top 5th win at Singapore.  He had been tied with Hamilton at 4 wins each.  LeClerc was not happy as he had the pole and was sure that he could win, but Ferrari made him cool his jets.
So we watched a little Moto2 where Marc Marquez's brother came in 3rd.    Much to Irma's delight, the race was won by South African Brad Binder.
We also watched a little Laver Cup tennis while watching for the end of the Formula 1 race.
Cristina enlisted the help of her ex Carlos to repair the hole(s) in the roof at the building at the Animal Park where we had eliminated the wasps.
There will be a second Blog today as I agreed to take birthday photos of Wolf & Fabiola's granddaughter Valerie in the afternoon.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
