I never knew my wife to be a firebug, but today she proved that she could be a pyromaniac star.  We went back to the Animal Park at 10am to presumably meet the Fire station Captain but he didn't show, so Cristina and Marino just got to work, finding things that would burn, and started fires inside and outside this building.  The whole idea was to create smoke to make the wasps vacate the premises but they just flew in circles outside.  Marino added tires to the outside fire and that made the wasps move a little farther.
I was sent to get more gasoline and told Cristina that the nests are made of a paper substance so burning those would accomplish a lot more.  She wrapped some cloth around the end of a long stick and set about burning the nests, then knocking them down.  I swept up the mess and added the fallen nests to the fire on the floor.  Gradually we had almost no wasps left inside, although a few still congregated outside.  Soon this space will be able to house some animals without fear of being stung.
Visitors included the Community President who wasn't too happy about all the smoke but he let us finish the job.  Other folks warned us that people have died from wasp stings.  Luckily these wasps are not as aggressive as in N.A. and just fly around if left alone.
After 2 hours, we smelled and looked like we had been camping for a week.  We cleaned up a tad and headed in to deliver Ana's new stove to Adiela's, and then did our grocery run.  We are doing those less often now and the bills are getting bigger...
We hit  little rain between the towns on the way back.  It was showing 29C in the car in Tulua.  Right now it is showing only 27C here.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
