I was a very nice, cloudy morning so I did the chores, poop patrol and then got busy cleaning the air-conditioner, the bug zapper and the garage door tracks. It felt gratifying to get those things oput of the way.
At 1:11 it began to rain, a nice gentle rain that would soak in and cool things down. It continued off and on for most of the afternoon so things should green up overnight nicely.
We got a call from David and Irma to join them for Cinnabon's that they had picked up at PriceSmart but we had to delay them because Cristina had invited Claudia and Sara for lunch. With the rain, they did not come.
At 4pm we joined David and Irma for the delicious Cinnabon-type cinnamon rolls that are so hard to find anywhere. They are definitely one of life's little pleasures and Cinnabon is always on my list of places to visit whenever I see them, like at Quito's airport....
It is always such a pleasure to spend time with intelligent people like David and Irma who enjoy many of the same things we do. We got into many discussions about actors, actresses and different movies. It is amazing how we can just voice command our cel phones to bring up instant information when our memories are fuzzy.
I took the 2 photos of David and Irma and we got into a discussion of the origin of the term "suck face" but none of us could recall the first movie in which we heard the term. Even an extensive search failed to enlighten us.
We came home at 6pm because Cristina had re-scheduled for Claudia and Sara to come for supper. It is so nice to have a cooler house this evening. It is only 26.3C at 7:15pm....
