Yesterday I got the details of the upholsterer because I want to re-do the recliners.  I left him 2 messages and he has yet to contact us.
Then Cristina made another promise to Aram and Liliana that we would show them where the Tulua medical appointment place was, then where the x-ray place was.  Since Liliana is operating on a broken foot and sore ribs, the normal modes of transportation would be cumbersome.  They actually got through the appointments pretty quickly.
Then we went to HomeCenter to find a computer desk for Yireh who does home study online on her laptop.  She picked out a simple black one after a lot of discussion.  Following that we stopped at the bakery close to us and had a quick bite and a drink.

Today I got caught up on some needed sleep after trying to do my chores with a balky Firefox browser, and then doing garbage and poop detail.
I had a big salad for lunch then we got asked to come and visit David and Irma this afternoon.  So we both had another nice nap before heading in.  Our usual back road was closed for construction so we had to take a different way in.
I got caught up on the news about the American election Democratic party debates for which I only get to read the different biased appraisals.  I have always been a Bernie Sanders backer but David says to watch out for this Kamala Harris who just might pull it off over the bumbling favouite, former VP Joe Biden.  An outspoken black woman against Donald Trump could be extremely interesting.
Then we did our weekly pitstop at LA14 for groceries.  Four heaping bags for about $58 USD is OK by me.  I am sure the bill would be quadruple back home.
We did a quick cemetery stop before coming back to our happy canine family.
I slipped outside with the Nikon because the light was right and Tom Thunb was again most accommodating with about 1 minute of antics.  He does not seem scared of me at all unless I make sudden motions.   The closer I can get, the better the shots with this short lens.
Oh, I sent a follow-up note to Ted's Electronics about the Nikon 70-300mm VR lens that I expect them to send me.  They claim that they have none in stock and are not sure when one will be in stock.  Again, I told them to try harder and to contact a wholesaler in New York to get one.  I am shocked at their poor customer service.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

Around 2am there was a dog barking away and we just ignored it because we were both sure it was one of the neighbour dogs anyway.  It wouldn't quit so I got up and opened the bedroom door, looked left and Cafe immediately quit her barking.  I could find nothing amiss, nor any reason for her to be barking, so I went back to bed but did not sleep much after that.  Today I am wandering around on radar.
The photos below are from yesterday afternoon and I must say that I am ever more impressed with the Nikon for its cleaner, crisper pictures.  We made a cemetery stop then a quick visit with Gilma and family.
We even ended up having a snack downtown with Aram, Liliana and Yireh, but the camera was in the car.

This morning I took Cristina to see a house hopefully for rent at the north end of town.  There is a possibility that Miguel and Adiela would move here if they could find the right house with a nice grass patio for their many dogs.  Somehow I cannot see them moving from Tulua where they have all their business and personal connections.  This is not far, but far enough for their old car on its last legs, and her scooter, especially if the weather looks iffy.
So I tried to have a nap under the air-conditioner in the bedroom as the temp is 32C in the house.  I got up as Cristina was feeding the dogs to bright sunlight on the feeders so I decided to give the Canon a reprieve and re-confirm what it can, or can't, do.  With the Tamron lens, it takes adequate photos for the normal person, but not for a photographer who must look at the photos under a minimum of 100% magnification where the flaws clearly show.  Frankly I am getting so tired of fixing "noise", or speckles, or snow,.. whatever you want to call it.  While I am pretty decent at correcting a decent shot, I am just not getting the absolute clarity that I want, or need.  Tom Thumb came by quickly and gave me 45 seconds of action, enough for the following results.
I am certainly hoping to get some action out of Ted's Electronics and get the right lens as soon as possible.  I have not heard from them since last week.   Grrrrr.
Around 4pm we were asked to do another adoption run, picking up a divine male puppy at the vet John Rojas' office.  Adiela was there with the instructions.  Then we headed for the main park in BugaLaGrande on the other side of our town to meet the new parent, who, of course, was not on time to meet us.  It is always pleasing to see abandoned animals finding a forever home with a loving new parent.
Then Cristina just had to have a cholado at the park.  She can't resist those.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

The Nikon does much nicer shots than my Lumix or Canon
