After chores we took Buddy in for a badly needed clipping.  The poor guy had a 2-inch fur coat and must really swelter in these 31C days.
The plan to return for a quick nap was waylaid by a pleading phone call from Adiela.  She had 2 puppies to pick up and take to a new adoptive home at La Union, about an hour away.  La Union is near the girls' home town, Roldanillo, which is famous for paragliders...  See  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNl0jauV74M
At least we didn't have to drive too darn far to pick up the dogs.  One of them was from that group from yesterday.  Poor Adiela is suffering from a bad pollen allergy and Cristina is fighting off a cold.  I am trying to stay away from any of the sneezes.
The small puppy threw up 3 times on the way from motion sickness, poor thing.  I had made sure that the girls were prepared for these eventualities or I threatened that Iwould no longer help.  They got the message.
I forget to bring the Canon as was my intention so the Lumix had to do.  It is pretty good in sunlight and has a great zoom so it is a great backup.
We managed to find the older couple in La Union.  He does tire repairs at the front of the house.  She seemed very nice and they seemed very pleased with both dogs.
Coming back I kept looking back towards Roldanillo and then I saw 2 hanggliders right above us so I pulled over.  They actually landed right across the highway from us.
We drove back to Tulua to drop off Adiela and the traffic going back was stalled about 2 miles for new asphalt being laid down.  There is only a very long drive via Campo Alegre to miss this highway and I would probably have gotten lost so we drove into LA14 for lunch at Subway.  That sandwich and a drink for $2.50 is still a draw for me.
Then we popped in to LA14 to look again for a new stove.  The one I was leaning to last time was no longer there,.. sold.  The next in line is gorgeous but pricey and I couldn't talk the guy into a further discount so we left.  The main way to get a discount there (or Exito) is to sign up for their credit card and use it.  Cristina refuses.
So we drove back home and the traffic was relatively clear along the construction area.  Then Cristina had a message that Buddy was ready at the vet's so we walked there, staying on the shady side of the street because that sun sure bakes a person in a hurry.   Buddy did not seem like a happy camper and was in a hurry to pee as soon as we got outside.  When we got home the dogs didn't recognize him and we almost had a riot.  Buddy's mood got even fouler.   He is still barely looking at us or moving about, poor guy.  Usually he is quite upbeat after a clip, but not this time.  There was a new girl doing the clipping and she must have been rough with him I figure...
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
