The Oilers take another shot at beating Colorado Avalanche tonight after losing Saturday night 4-2 to go down 3-0 in the series.  The Avalanche have had their number all year, so pride in that Oiler jersey better take over tonight or it becomes golf season...

It is raining every night pretty good so our little lake is forming again.  And our jungle needs cutting so I am awaiting the availability of my man, Leonel.

Yesterday, Cristina had Sofia over here to spend the day again.  This helps assuage her mother instinct.

I spent the day mostly on Ancestry where I just got notice that I have added 66 people to the tree where I am back into uncharted territory in France mostly, in the 1500's....  Once you get following a line, and hints point you to parentage and familiy names, you continue to research and match data.  I just got a note that I had  added 66 people!  All the data is not always right, or may be a person with the same name, so a lot of cross-checking is done wherever possible, and keeping notes of where the information came from.  One ancestor is shown to have lived until age 120!  Another had 24 kids with 2 wives!  While there are a lot of infant deaths in the trees, (One family appeared to have lost 2 sets of twins within days of birth) there is also the strong showing of where our family longevity stems from...

This morning there was a heavy rain that awoke me at 1:30am until past 2am which really re-started the lake.

The dogs are being really good during the night, thank the Lord.  And a person does not dare walk barefoot anywhere in the house where the 6 little puppies roam freely.  It is like tight-rope walking through a minefield at times as those little pee and poop machines do their business way more often than necessary.

We have done an abbreviated walk the last two days in the wet streets.  My 4 stalwarts are very good at doing their business quickly under the circumstances.

I misunderstood that our new fencing was ready today so we drove into Tulua.  Halfway there Cristina tells me that it won't be ready until Tuesday now.  Grrrr.  We had to get veggies anyway, so the Mega Fruver near our old house has the freshest assortment and we can also pay by debit card.  Finding good cabbage has been a problem lately, but not today...

We made deep-fried smoked pork ribs for late lunch which we shared with our dogs a bit.  Sharing any meal is considered obligatory and our doggies are well trained to wait until it is offered.  We love our doggies...

It was heartening to see a resurgence of Golden Silk Spiders in the back yard.  An afternoon nap felt SO-O-O good that we did not want to get up.

Tonight we hope the Oilers show us if they are worthy of a run to the Stanley Cup again...  Down 3-0 in the series, playing at home, they had better dig deep..

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
