Happy 29th Birthday (with 22 years experience) to my beautiful wife Cristina. Yesterday she wanted absolutely no fuss made today but has enjoyed every bit of it.
We picked up David at 10am and went to the hospital to get flu shots to be on the safe side. Cristina abstained, silly girl.
Then we had brunch at a nearby popular place with good prices and service. We each got a breakfast meal and coffee and the bill was about $3.25.
Then we gave Cristina the choice of where she wanted to go shopping and she chose the La Herradura (horseshoe) shopping center. While she bought a bunch more clothes I whiled away the time looking at stoves and computers. Then she wanted running shoes at this one place but they didn't have her size. We stopped for a beer (David), lemonade (me) and a capucchino (Cris) and discussed lunch options. We almost were headed for Mr Chuleta nearby when Cristina spotted a Tuesday hard taco special for $1 in the food court so we ordered our fill of those. They were very good, meat and cheese, but I was surprised that they did not offer any sauces or sour cream... However, we can bring some Aji hot sauce next time to sharpen up this nice meal that is now on our Tuesday radar.
We dropped off David so he could order a plane ticket for his squeeze, Irma, to return from South Africa and then we made a pit stop again at the cemetery.
David is coming over later for a movie or two.
