As mentioned late yesterday, the heavens opened and a horse parade began following a firetruck with hundreds of magnificent Paso Fino horses and their riders. I have a lot of photos so I had to upload them piecemeal and it doesn't matter much that almost every group went up backwards... I had taken 95 shots and kept about 41, all except 2 taken without a flash, just lit by our big street lamp outside.
Today Leonel came at 7am and worked 3 hours to cut and bag 5 huge garbage bags of wet grass. He gets a beer an hour as a bonus and it has become standard with me. He can't always come on a Tuesday or Friday, the day before garbage day as I would like. I worry about spontaneous combustion in the hot sun. I watched 2 houses in Okotoks burn because a compost bin ignited a few years back...
RedBubble decided to drop on me again this morning so I think I will just not upload to them when they decide to be quirky... It is not worth the stress, never mind all the wasted time.
Then I had that new restaurant Parche Tranqui deliver me 2 orders of nachos for 30,000 pesos, which sounds expensive to my ears all the time but it is under $8 USD. While I didn't expect it to be as good as I can make, with the right ingredients, it had a lot of beef and onion and was very tasty, definitely a nice diversion to try again. But next time, I think we will eat in the restaurant to have access to more sour cream and sauces. I researched them and could not find any other locations... Strange because it sure looks like a chain operation.
Tom Thumb was really active with a rival this afternoon so I actually took 54 shots of him but only kept 12.
My orders from Amazon have both been shipped and ETA is the 28th. Not bad..
