 Merry Christmas everyone................

Last night I finished watching a shorter series called "13 Commandments" and I can highly recommend it as a suspense police mystery thriller.....

Then we were invited to a small gathering of the animalistas at the Animal Park around a nice little fire.  We supplied some booze and lighting and others supplied more drinks and chinese rice to eat.  I was sure salivating for some wonderful Canadian smokies followed by marshmallows.  It seems like ages since we have enjoyed a real campfire.

One of the reasons for the gathering was to hopefully distract the animals there from the constant bombardment of firecrackers and fireworks.  We really weren't of much use and the dogs were the other side of the wall.  It is really hard to eductae people how much those noises affect the sensitive ears of the poor animals.

We returned home around 11:30pm and our own animals were all over us, looking for protection.  Cristina took 4 of them in one bedroom and I had 6 in the master bedroom, every one of them looking for comfort and security.  The fireworks were sporadic until 5am and poor Killer was frantic in the middle of all this but there was little that I could do except to reassure the big guy and cover him as best I could.

Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep so we passed on the morning walk.
I didn't bother with my photos today either because the day is just too busy on the web.

Today, we are staying close and have been in contact with almost all the family and many, many friends.  Facebook has been tremendously busy with many heartfelt greetings back and forth.   Having missed seeing most of the family this year just makes us more determined to make it happen as soon as it is safe.

We heard from one good friend that she had been in hospital for pneumonia and had a positive test for Covid, but zero symptoms.  Hopefully that is the end of that for her and that no symptoms will show up later.  We want all our friends and family to start 2021 in a week from now on a very positive note.

One persn mentioned that they are again getting this Blog via email.  Gosh we hope that would start working for everyone.

The lack of snow here makes it hard to get into the old Christmas spirit but we are nonetheless thankful for the simple things that we do have, ... health, safety, and love everywhere in this home.  We can't really ask for better presents and hope everyone else is enjoying the same.

 Hugs to all.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
