We were out the door at 6:30am to pick up the black street dog (Negro) cared for by another man again for its 2nd chemotherapy treatment.  The last one was 10 days ago.  Once we got in Dr John Faber Rojas' office the injections did not take long.
On the way back we stopped at the cemetery and the bank before dropping off Negro to guard our streets.  He is such a sweet and calm dog.
I took Lizzie in to be cleaned, inside and out, for 12,000 pesos, or under $4 USD.  Then I got caught up on my chores while that was happening.
I picked up the car at 11am and got a couple of items for today's salad before finding an upholsterer that the watch repair guy across the street had recommended.  I showed him the pictures of my 2 recliners and the office chair and he agreed to come and inspect them at 2pm.
Nap time...
At 2pm the upholsterer came and looked and calculated that it would cost 50,000 pesos to make the cloth sleeves to cover the chairs, all 3 for 50,000 pesos or about $16 USD, plus material.  We will go with him tomorrow morning to an upholstery supply place to look at material.
Honestly, every time something like this happens, I shudder to think what this would cost at home in Canada.  I am in for a rude awakening when I get there in 12 days...
By 3:45 we were at our appointed time at the Orthodontist, Dr Luis Villegas.  There was a bit of a backup but I just played Minesweeper until my turn came about 1/2 hour later.  He decided to build up the broken crown and a couple of corrections I needed, then I got the proper cleaning they were promising.   Total cost (remember the consultation was free) was 140,000 pesos = $40 USD!!  Is there any question why I am living here????
To celebrate we went to Power Pizza in Tulua.  I was super hungry so I had my medium 12" 4 meat topping special and ate it all.  Cristina ordered a double burrito (huge) and brought 1/2 home.  This is topped off by their deelicious, cold coconut lemonade.  Total cost 39,000 pesos or $11 USD.
I keep thinking of how to live in Canada on my puny pension and it just would not be possible unless a person had free rent and utilities.  We do own our home so that does give us breathing room here and the cost of living is so affordable.
We then slipped in to LA14 for adult diapers for Cristina's Mom and came home to a dark house with no water.
I was surprised when Aram came to the door, I though he would not arrive until 9pm or so from Bogota.  But they took a bus back overnight and arrived home at 6am.  We will go walking later.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

Negro is so cool and laid back

He is calm and collected

Leather is too hot in this climate, even phony leather.

Need to recover most of the recliners

Waiting my turn

Nice offices
