The month of September is hours away from closing.. It has always been my favourite month of the year.
Orion was above me again this morning as I walked 3 of the dogs. In the distance we did see the horse family walking the street.
Jeepers! $1.37 Canadian is required to buy $1 USD which will buy over 4500 pesos today! It is a good thing that $1 of our pension money still buys a lot of pesos too (3295).
We ran into Tulua to buy medicine for the dogs and Cristina was quick about it, so we had time to stop at a lookout east of Tulua that is almost always spectacular... I stitched 3 photos together to make a panorama for you. The Buzzard was perched nearby for a few seconds.
We made it home in time to watch women's volleyball, Argentina vs Colombia. We actually led 2 games to 1 but lost the match 3-2. Boo Hoo. There is another game tomorrow at the same time.
I got questioned by an avid Blog reader about what I mean when I mention my CHORES... So, here goes:
Arise and walk the dogs at 4am. Lately that means sleep another couple of hours before shower and shave, clean the patio, poop patrol and make sure the dogs have sufficient food and water.
Then I get on the computer for a couple of hours at least, checking 5 emails and all that entails..., check Yahoo news and my calendar, attend to birthday and anniversary wishes, etc, and then check annoying Facebook to keep track of family and friends.
Next is uploading my photo of the day to RedBubble and Fine Art America. FAA is relatively quick and I post the photo from there to Facebook. RB is the huge problem because they make you fit your photo in pleasing fashion, choose background colour, etc on 91 separate products....!!!! They are a Royal pain, but I do sell there, and I do have to treat this as a hobby, not a money-maker. On both sites, I have to respond to all comments and faves of my artworks, and also comment and fave on other artists' works.... Not many reciprocate properly, but I try to be a good corporate citizen. I also host the Selective Color group on FAA and have to check all submitted photos, plus I almost always have a contest running where I have to adjudicate the entries. Way too many artists just don't read or follow the rules for the group. Once upon a time I did 3 artworks per day on both sites, and I don't know how I kept my sanity...
Then I try to remember to do the daily Wordle game and only recall being skunked once, this week actually.. And I got one in 2 tries this week as well...
Sometimes I make lunch, and always make the coffee. 80% of the time I do all the dishes. Sometimes an afternoon nap is called for.
After 5pm I always make my evening salad (and usually popcorn to follow) prior to watching sports or movies (usually NetFlix).
Sometime during the day, I try to make an effort to take some photos somewhere to accompany this Blog. Depending on the number of photos, processing from RAW format can take a lot of time. And, this Blog always takes a while too.

Last night I watched "The Blond" on NetFlix, a highly disturbing fictionalized account of the life of Norma Jeane Mortensen Baker, aka Marilyn Monroe. 2 hours and 47 minutes was much too long and overall I got tired of watching, except for the probable Oscar performance by Ana de Armas who was mesmerizing in her likeness to Marilyn and a champion of emotions. They really show her as a complicated mess mentally.
I just researched some of the BS used in the film, like her real father, her relationship with her mother, and a supposed menage-a-trois with Charlie Chaplin Jr and Edward Robinson Jr.... Yes, The Blond is mostly fiction....
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
