Leonel came at 7:30am to complete the grass cutting and the first order of business was to put out the bags of clippings from a few days ago to the curb because the arrival time of the garbage truck is anywhere from 8am to noon.  OMG, the stench emanating from the fermenting grass was so overpowering that even strong fragrant sprays took a while to control it...  Then Leonel quickly went to work and got the rest finished and to the curb before the truck came.

I put some fresh birdseed in both feeders and put fresh water in their bathtubs and the amount of birds congregating was incredible.  They can afford to be lazy looking for food when they have such benefactors!

I took some photos of the Golden Silk Spiders in the back, only one repeated, and missed a few..  There are a lot of them and I keep them well above head-height.

I trimmed some of the plants to eliminate as much blight as possible, and to promote new buds.

It was cloudy all day and around 1:20pm the rain began and really hasn't fully stopped since.  Right now it is barely a sprinkle so everything is nice and fresh.  Lots of good stuff for the dogs to track into the house...  Such is life....

On a Bourassa genealogy page on Facebook I came across the following link which I found fascinating and had to share with a few family members:

https://laprairie-voyageur-canoes.blogspot.com/2017/03/ripples-from-la-prairie-voyageur-canoes_77.html#:~:text=Francois%20Bourassa%20and%20his%20sons,fathers%20of%20the%20fur%20trade.%22

Our original Canadian ancestors, Francois Bourassa and Marie Leber, and their sons Francois (our line) and Rene were called Fathers Of The Fur Trade and some of the episodes mentioned here are an amazing read that I felt worth sharing.  It is so good that some folks had the fortitude to gather such priceless information, even if it does bring up some black sheep in desperate times.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  It took nine tries to get the darn things to upload, and, of course, they are backwards......  That was the day’s excitement.
