Christmas Eve, probably around 1975 or 1976, and Mom & Dad were visiting from Saskatchewan and the whole family decided to go to midnight mass at the tiny Catholic church in Midnapore (still a separate town from Calgary back then).  We almost filled the church ourselves and on the way out it was snowing so gently that I was truly touched by the Christmas spirit to be surrounded by loving family on such an idyllic evening.  I don't think that anything could rival the magic of that night.  Then we went home and had our traditional tourtiere and opened the gifts.  That memory helps me make it through every Christmas Eve.  Merry Christmas everone.

Today was just crazy.  At 11am we picked up Aram, Liliana, Yireh, and another fellow who was guiding us to poor families in a place NE of town called Tin Tin, seriously.  Liliana had collected and bought clothes for children, and a lot of clothes Yireh had not worn.  We were directed to these place near the river and they soon found children to fit the clothes.  This was a wonderful gesture by Liliana and Aram and we were happy to help.
Then Cristina had to take Liliana to where she bought her newest jeans yesterday (the ones you pay premium prices for, when you can get the old, ripped look for pennies at Goodwill)....  Anyway she found something she liked, had no money so we would have to return later.
We had a quick lunch at home then headed into Tulua to deliver dog food donations to the Animal Shelter.  Then we delivered a food hamper to Adiela's.
Next we spent over an hour at HomeCenter trying to get reimbursement for the door handle that came with the door package but was not delivered.  Grudgingly we accepted 20,000 pesos, which we have to come back for of course.  That barely pays for the trips back and forth, Grrrrrrrr.
Then we picked up Aram and Liliana to go back to buy the clothing.  Of course the women always turn every opportunity into further browsing, not mindful of the impatient waiting husbands.  Then they had to stop at a store a block from home so we dropped them off and Aram and I came in for a needed beer.  15 minutes later the gals came in and grabbed beers too.
We dropped off Liliana and Aram came with us to the cemetery where Cristina put several electronic lights at the grave and played Cristian's music in solitude for a long while.
Next we went to Gilma's to deliver the great-nephews presents (clothes) that we had bought earlier only to find that only Gilma was home.
Hope Santa is nice to everyone.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
