Saturday morning the mechanic from La Union came, his name is Mauricio. We moved Chappy outside and he got to work. The motor and carburetor were dismantled and cleaned. When he got it cleaned and the chain tightened. he took Chappy for a ride with no problems, and so did I. He looked at the spark plug and the fuel system. He explained to us which settings to use, etc. It is very odd that thay want the bike in gear to start it.
He had tried to find the ignition switch without success or finding the adaptor for the right hand mirror. So we went into Tulua to find these items. There was one place where the lady made at least 20 phone calls from memory. Then she finally came up with it, Thank God. We will have to do with one mirror for now.
I had had such a bad sleep and gound that my arms were tingling as though they were on the TENS machine. I did not feel well at all on this mini jaunt. I even broke down and took a Gabapentin.
We stopped at the Tulua Animal Shelter, Zoonosis to pick up a small puppy for adoption here.
By the time I got home I felt awful and hit the sack alone. At some point Cristina allowed sone dogs to join me.
When I got up I was so dizzy that I toppled 3 times on the bed. Very carefully I got some juice and set up this Blog. Honestly, I feel as though someone else is in control, not me... I am scared to get up again without a good hold on some furniture.
We even had got some really good cinnamon rolls after lunch of empanadas. Cristina warmed it up after my nap and it was awesome. Carloscame by to work on the new bedroom door but I am not getting up just to take a photo. This could be an interesting afternoon. I am so darn woozy......
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
