Our little bunnies Whitey and Runt are growing quickly... We will have to get them adopted out very soon.
Cristina had invited her new cousin (not Aunt as previosly reported) Irma for lunch and a chat so I invited David to round out the table while I BBQ'd some steaks. Irma lives in Pereira with a granddaughter who is going to University there. We had a very enjoyable time and the steaks were decent.
David had to transport Wolf to Buga to pick his BMW motorbike after a clutch repair so I went along. We went to Wolf and Fabiola's house NE of Tulua, high up on a hill with magnificent views. We had a beer there before seeing their new fluffy puppy with a pink nose before setting out.
The bike was supposedly ready but they needed to re-mount the saddlebags and give it a wash first. That took a very long time... We had agreed that we would follow Wolf just in case he had more problems with the bike. Once we started away on the highway Wolf indicated almost immediately that he was going back, because the clutch was slipping. The mechanics said the back plate of the clutch was not smooth like the new front plate so it would take a while to wear itself in. They did some more adjustments and two of them test drove the bike before handing it back to Wolf who then made it home safely and reported that it did indeed get better as he rode it more.
Then David and I went and bought some crispy fried chicken in our new place in Andalucia for 50c a piece, with potatoes. We got back to the house and it was just a few moments before Cristina arrived with Claudia and Sara arrived with another rescued dog in tow.
This new dog is also called Zeus and the poor thing has been maltreated and starved. He is old and toothless, needs medical attention badly, and some heavy iron intake to rebuild him. Cristina intends to "denounce" the negligent owner with her sister Adiela to the police tomorrow.
