I
did not sleep well because we let every dog who wanted to be on the bed with
us to join us and 6 took the challenge. Surprisingly Zeus 2 survived the night
and I actually thought that he was on the mend again. The wheezing was gone and, although he showed
little energy, he was up, changing beds and looking to eat. But, Cristina determined that he was too old,
in too much pain, and not improving, so arrangements were made to have him euthanized. We took him into Tulua to have this
done. I refused to have him interred in
our backyard. I had to insist that our
yard is not a pet cemetery for every stray.
It is bad enough to have to use it for our own pets.
Cristina
struck a deal with Nayibi’s son, Andres, and we interred him off the edge of
their soccer park. It is so sad to see a
courageous fighter meet his end, but it was the humane thing to do. It still breaks our heart.
We saw Zeus 1 and he was a brand new dog! He is robust again, a bull in a china shop. Some of Cristina's hard work bears fruit.
Then we drove back into Tulua for an invitation lunch at David's, delicious pork chops, corn, rice, and garlic mashed potatoes. Wolf and Fabiola were there with daughter Eliabeth, Granddaughter Valeri, and niece Vanessa. It turns out that Vanessa is also of the Jimenez family but Cristina didn't seem interested in exploring that today. Vanessa is also deaf but communicates well, even some in English.
Then we made a quick grocery trip to LA14 and hope the cabbage is of better quality this time. After a quick cemetery stop to install the last of the new flowers we finally returned home, much to the enjoyment of the 9 dogs still here.
I am having an absolutely AWFUL time with the computer in trying to do anything this evening. I have re-started everything countless times and am ready to sell my soul for a solution. It takes an eternity to just copy and paste files or photos and my patience is running really thin.

I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
