Happy 18th Birthday to my youngest grandson Tyson.  We are proud of you!

I was at David's by 8am to watch the Formula 1 race from England.  It was a cloudless, sunny morning and the scenery spectacular.  A day like this is goung to be a scorcher, predicted 32C (feels like 36C).  The road work is continuing between here and Tulua.
Lewis Hamilton, the Englishman, had the pole position once again, like it is his by right, followed by his Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas.  In 3rd spot was Max Verstappen and 4th was my guy, Charles LeClerc.
As usual, Hamilton kept the lead from start to finish, ho hum, but it was a nail-biter at the end.
There were 3 minor crashes but that kept the pace car out there under the yellow flag for a record 12 of the 52 laps.  Surprisingly a heavy wind was a big factor and caused many problems with grip and tires.
Second place Bottas lost a tire with 2 laps to go, finishing 11th, out of the points.  First place Hamilton had his own tire issues and finally blew a tire on the last lap but still limped home to victory, 5.86 seconds ahead of Verstappen.  Verstappen had made a pit stop to change tires with only a few laps to go to make the "Fastest Lap" of the day to garner an extra point.  In doing so, he gave up the 7 points he would have gained by winning the race.
So the finish was Hamilton, Verstappen and LeClerc, who had a safe and comfortable spot in third.
After this, we watched a SuperBike race from Andalucia, Spain.

BTW, that was not a hummingbird nest yesterday.  I thought it was too big and, sure enough, we saw a dove sitting on it this afternoon.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
