My friend Tom mentioned on Facebook that the Colombian peso is at a multi-year high for exchange, so I decided this was a good time to transfer some money.  I have emailed 3 different gals at CIBC without a response all day, and finally left a message for the Branch Manager this evening.
Our third order of business this morning, after the dog walks and my chores, was to go get the dog from yesterday for treatment.  We should have known from its lethargic state yesterday that it was not going to survive the night but it was still a huge shock to find it gone.  It is so hard to watch these courageous, lovely animals in pain.
So we returned home to get Cafe and took her in to the vet to begin her chemotherapy treatments, first of 4 weekly visits.  Carlos has the mother of our Mariposa and apparently she went through chemo with flying colours so we are hopeful.  Cafe is such a sweet dog that loves to be held, and she now loves the car rides.  She is also a good patient at the vet's and came back full of vim and vigor.  That looks promising.  I guess we now have 8 full-time dogs....  They are a handful at times but we would find it hard to part with any of them.
Then Cristina and I went into Tulua so she could meet with her friend Omaira and another lady they worked with at Colombina.  Apparently this friend thinks they can get some back-pay from 4 years ago, without having to cough up anything...  Cristina is doubtful but will listen.
Then we walked a few blocks to pick up our newest yard denizens, two new male rabbits, as yet unnamed.  Bugs and Bunny are the front-runners...  That makes an even dozen of us here now....
We stopped for a fruity ice cream float for $1 each..  Delicious!  The only thing is that we get pestered by salesmen in the park continuously... mostly selling stuff for kids.
The bunnies started eating and drinking and exploring the new hutch immediately.  I just hope that they and the dogs strike an easy peace back there.  My biggest fear is that one group or the other will try to tunnel======....
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
