Cristina wanted to go window-shopping, especially
at a place we like that sold cheap items like reading glasses. We went by it on the way in, and on the way out,
but it was closed both times. We did stop at the
small Colombian restaurant on Gran Colombia for almeurzo, and that was a good
choice.
Then we saw a street vendor
selling purses, etc and both our eyes headed straight for this leather backpack
with fringes. I asked the price and he
said $10, so I had my wallet out before he could change his mind… Cristina only has about 7 backpacks to choose
from now, so she definitely needed this beauty.
Tonight was the infamous Barbeque night at Joes' Secret Garden preceeded by Onion Rings and I ate so many that I had a hard time eating my meal, much less the apple-peach cobbler for dessert.
I must have been in a florid mood this evening because I sure found a lot of pretty flowers to photograph.
Ken and KP were quite pleased with the number of reservations, bearing in mind that this is the week before Thanksgiving. What they didn't count on was 10 people not showing up, and 8 of those were Ecuadorians. Some people just have no couth or sense of responsibility. I feel sorry for Ken and KP and I was pleased to see that they will be charging a cancellation fee for Thanksgiving, where they already have 105 reservations.
