Saturday March 2, 2019
It sprinkled a little while walking the dogs and I did not mind.  Then the day basically stayed cloudy and sombre and it sapped my energy levels.
I went 3 times to pick up my repaired fanny pack but the place was always closed.  Typical...
I spotted a beautiful blue bird (probably a blue-grey tanager according to Merlin).  I didn't get a good look because I rushed in to get the camera.  By the time I got back it was long gone, but the other birds were posing.
All the photos are taken with the Lumix, hand-held, at full 30X zoom across the yard.  It does a pretty decent job in the daytime.
We had invited David to come over for lunch and a movie so we BBQ'd some pork loin with Hy's Seasoning Salt and they were to die for.  Both David and I like the simple meal of meat, potatoes, and corn.  We ate our fills.
Then we sat down, discussed movies and he started through my stack of mostly Canadian DVD's.  He stopped at "The Edge" and I explained brother-in-law Brian Lyttle's significant roles, making several knives used in the film and appearing as an extra.  See http://www.lyttleknives.com/profile3.htm  and    https://blademag.com/tv-and-movie-knives/survival-knife-edge-movie and https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/r-i-p-brian-lyttle.1367382/
So we watched "The Edge".
I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
