Lest we forget the sacrifices our soldiers have made in foreign lands and kept wars away from our shores.
Our niece, Natalia, turns 21 on Tuesday but the
family gathered at La Herradura to celebrate today. Her two sisters and one brother were on hand
as we had a nice lunch and cake. Natalia
is a hard-working student who is always at the top of her class. She also speaks pretty decent English which
sure helps at times.
I should also explain that Naty's Dad, Miguel, was named after his father. His son and grandson are also named Miguel.
We came home to find a lot of chicken feathers on
the back patio. We found the frightened
hen under our prickly bush at the back, luckily still alive. The chickens actually roost in a tree over
our wall so this unlucky one ended up in our yard, with 8 dogs,… not too
bright. For the moment it is recovering in
the bunny run with Bugs and Bunny.
Ana is here to spend a couple of nights and Natalia
and Agustin were also to come by for an evening visit but they got delayed too late. Apparently they will come by tomorrow.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
