This morning we made it early to the Hospital San Jose in Buga and it sure was a busy place. We had a delightfully informative gal named Marcela help Cristina with information and procedures for tomorrow. She is the kind of pretty and sweet gal that I would happily introduce to my good single buddies (sorry no photo). I even got called in to sign a Permission paper.
They did more blood work, BP, and more, then we stopped in the cafeteria for lunch before heading back.
We made a stop at our bank and I actually managed to use my age to switch lineups from 32 deep to 3 deep. We were actually able to see a service rep within 5 minutes. This fellow took our information then brought in a woman who speaks English well, on loan from another branch while the manager is away (until Monday). It was a huge relief to see that they do have our money from Canada in their system but they won't add it to our account until we again prove the source of the money. This lady, Diana, gave us the manager's email (that she has access to) to send another copy of the Ecuador house sale documents. Done. Now we wait for an appointment to see where to invest some of this money for Cristina's security.
We stopped in to HomeCenter to see why none of their servicemen have showed up. The one that we thought was to come assemble the swing didn't come because they only quoted it, and what we thought was a receipt was only said quote. The guy who was to come fix the BBQ said he phoned us (he has the right number) but Cristina has not had any missed calls... So we wait some more.
We made a quick stop at the cemetery because this will be that last time possible for Cristina for a while. Unfortunately we were the only ones there, no flowers sellers,.. nobody.
We picked up more dog "food" from Carlos' family and had to be quite because the kindergarten kids were having a nap. How many people realize that kindergarten is a German word meaning "childrens' garden"...
We have to be up real early to be in Buga by 6am tomorrow.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
