Monday March 14, 2022

The whole family was away yesterday so I basically glued myself to the TV and watched Curling at the Brier then got involved in watching "Drive To Survive" on NetFlix about last year's Formula 1 crazy season.  Then I forgot to switchback to watch the Gold medal game of Curling...  I just found out now that my pick, Brad Gushue and team won it all.  I am happy because he is a good representative of our country, even though he had to beat our awesome Alberta team (Koe).

It is uncanny how I look at the clock at 4am every morning regardless of time changes..., then I do chores and go back to bed for a couple of hours, but I am feeling really tired today.

I managed to contact a few friends and relatives to try to arrange future meetings.  This week is already filling up nicely.

Dawn came to get me today again to spend the day and we had several stops to make, a seamstress, a bank, and a hospital visit for her, and a cemetery visit and shopping for me.  I was thankful to remember where my brother Lucien and his wife Kaye are buried.  It was shocking to see that it is already 5 years that Kaye passed away, but happy to see that she and Lucien are together again.

We went to West Edmonton Mall again mainly trying to find a "Canada" tanktop that my wife wants.  We haven't found that yet anywhere, not even at Dollarama, but we kept asking everywhere.  If I can't find it here, I may find it in a souvenir shop in an airport...  But I did find a nice little present to surprise Cristina with, so I can't post it here...  I finally found some cheap slip-on house slippers to wear on these cold floors, and a hot air popcorn popper to leave here...  Nobody is complaining about that...

Lunch was hard tacos, yummy, and a treat for me....  Now I could really use a nap but it is probably too late in the day.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
