Because I could....., I slept in really late this morning before tackling chores. When I looked outside, I felt like our crazy dog, Rio, .. seeing bird shadows everywhere...
A look way up to the pinnacle of the neighbour's trees 2 doors down confirmed my suspicions that the flock of Bohemian Waxwings were the cause. Of course I had to run downstairs for the Nikon and shoot through the window and the tops of our own trees, against the wonderful blue Alberta sky... They are at such a distance that a close-up of a single bird is impossible. The Waxwings usually don't hang around long when they pass by in the springtime so I was fortunate to spot them and get some photos.
The GPS in Danai's little Nissan is not my favourite instrument. My Waze program is much better. I tried to get it to send me to the nearest Dollar store and it sent me on a goose-chase way up north... I saw one off to my right and pulled in and bought almost everything on my list totalling over $77, so now I am set up and comfortable with my digs....
Watching curling, hockey, baseball, UFC, tennis and more is right down my alley.
