After the usual chores, and watching Brazil easily dispatch Mexico to the sidelines, I decided to tackle what I could to begin the Visa process. It appears that the Visa can be applied for online, and somewhere I read that the application should be begun within 15 days, so the paperwork and copies are ready to go see a notary tomorrow and we will hopefully find out the best way of doing it without over-nighting in Bogota...
I did my own passport photo-style with my phone and had fun getting accustomed to the new printer.. Once I put the photo paper in the right way up (face up) they actually printed properly. Yeah you can laugh....
Then I thought that my streak of picking the World Cup winners was in jeopardy when I picked up the Belgium-Japan game very late, with only 15 minutes to play and Belgium is trailing 2-1. Two of my brothers-in-law were Belgian so I may have a couple of shirt-tail relatives in their line-up... Then Belgium ties it just before the 90 minutes are up and then press hard to score another in extra time to win it! Great comeback by Belgium, so I thank them for keeping my streak alive.
However, tomorrow are 2 tough choices with Sweden vs Switzerland (I pick Sweden who played very strongly in their last game ) and Colombia plays England (my heart says Colombia but my brain says England because Colombia has not been playing well)..... so I won't be sad if I am wrong..
Time to rest...
