Saturday July 1, 2017 HAPPY CANADA DAY !!
I dug out my Canada flag banner and took it to Joes' and had it hung near the entrance. Today was a dual celebration of Canada Day (150 years today) and US Independence Day on July 4. It was also a celebration of the merger of our two countries by the marriage this week of Canadian Jean-Claude and his American sweetheart. Congrats.
Tonight had an added attraction. Angel, the perennial bartender and Maitre D', and his dance group called "Marik Cuenca" performed in the Garden much to the delight of the over 100 patrons. It truly was one of the best Ecuadorian dance performances I have seen as the facial expressions conveyed the sentiments of the rituals. Very well done.
Because of the dance I actually took over 100 photos so I was processing those right until midnight. I had to wait until Sunday morning to do these normal postings. My apologies for the tardiness.
I hope you enjoy the photos. That was the day’s excitement.
