I was up quite late processing Gustavo's photos last night. I couldn't remember what he was using to take the photos because they were all really clear, almost no noise, although
just JPG quality. He told me that he used a Canon Rebel T1i but the photo details say it was a Samsung, so it was probably his phone!!.. Gustavo gets all credit for today's photos of the trip.
I was also going to try to include a short video of the two of us that I found quite comical, partly because it was funny of me especially chewing gum, but I accidentally deleted it...
darn! I am actually in quite a few of the photos for a change....
To recap, these photos are from our November 30, 2016 trip past Soldados where I had the accident and broke my neck. I am still recovering from that.
My physio guy, Diego, took a course on a new deep massage technique so I volunteered to let him use it on me today. I didn't realize that I was going to be the guinea pig for
a demostration to 3 cute nurses... It was a dirty job but somebody had to do it... It is now much later and my body is still all a-tingle so I doubt that this new technique has done much for me either.
When I got home my Internet people were knocking at my door in response to my Internet cutting out all morning. One thing I will say about Servicable is that once they respond, someone
is usually on the problem right away.
Then I hustled over to G+G with my IVA Facturas for submission to the SRI. It pains me to pay someone else to do things that I could easily do for myself but the SRI system just has
too many glitches (I think they are intentional..) to keep my sanity.
Next I went into downtown and parked (free for bikes) and went to a restaurant called the Cuchara Magica (Magic Spoon) at Gran Colombia and Benigno Malo for the inaugural meeting of
a budding camera club. It was more out of curiosity than anything else that I went. It turns out that the majority of photographers there were Canadians as were the owners of the restaurant! A nice fellow from Ontario
was spearheading this and looking for a lot of input from a lot of reluctant folks. I was hoping that this would be a club for outings and information, rather than a critique club, which seems to be the main direction for
this. Time will tell.
I hope you enjoy the photos. That was the day’s excitement.
Cheers, Al
