I just love it when a great day graces the week like today.
My cousin Maurice from Regina was in town so we went out and did some necessary (and unnecessary) shopping. We had the Tuesday pasta special at Chianti's, did more shopping, then went and saw Mom for a short while.
Mom was having a down day unfortunately, resting her sore back which surely needs to get some physiotherapy. She was happy to see Maurice, the son of her favourite sister.
Then we did more shopping as we headed to Okotoks to meet the gang for Wing Night at Original Joe's again. We were early so we had a brew and watched Ecuador lose to Japan in the Women's World Cup of Soccer. Poor Ecuador just couldn't get it together in any of the matches and will be bowing out.
My sister Leonie also came out to join us. Our perennial friends Gord and Em had several friends in attendance (I am bad with the names). We were very pleasantly surprised to see old friends Margaret and Frank, who spend most of their time in Fairmount, who just happened to be in town, and who stopped in to join us. Then another old friend, Betty, popped in to say hello too. What a great evening of reminiscing and fun, and great Wings.
